Count working days

Figures update as you type. Weekends are excluded automatically.

Working days

22 days

Weekdays minus holidays.

Total days

30 days

Every day in the range.

Weekdays

22 days

Monday to Friday.

Weekend days

8 days

Saturdays and Sundays.

Working days vs calendar days

Calendar days count everything; working days count only Monday–Friday. A 30-day month usually holds about 21–23 working days, which matters for delivery dates, invoicing terms, and SLAs.

Handling holidays

Public holidays vary by country and state, so this tool lets you enter the number that fall on weekdays in your range rather than guessing them for you. Look up your local calendar and subtract them.

Including the end date

Whether the final day counts depends on the context. Counting “from today through Friday” usually includes Friday; measuring a gap between two dates often doesn't. Use the toggle to match your case.

FAQ

Common questions about this calculator.

How do you count working days between two dates?

The calculator counts every day in the range, then keeps only Monday through Friday. You can subtract public holidays and choose whether the end date is included.

Are weekends excluded?

Yes. Saturdays and Sundays are removed automatically and shown separately, so the working-days figure reflects only weekdays.

Why doesn't it know my public holidays?

Holidays differ by country and region, so the tool lets you enter how many fall on weekdays in your range rather than assuming a calendar. Look up your local holidays and subtract them.

Should I include the end date?

It depends. 'From today through Friday' usually includes Friday, while the gap between two dates often doesn't. Use the toggle to match your situation.
