What makes a good freelancer brief
Most bad hires start with a vague brief. When a buyer posts "need a logo ASAP, budget flexible," they get 40 proposals from people who haven't read anything — because there's nothing to read.
A strong brief does three things: it tells the freelancer exactly what success looks like (deliverables), it signals that you know what you're asking for (reducing lowball bids), and the "not looking for" section filters out the 80% of proposals that aren't worth reading.
The how-to-apply section is the final filter. Asking for relevant samples or a specific answer ensures that anyone who applies has actually read the brief.
